EGX 30 declined for the third straight session in a row, after hitting a historical peak during Sunday’s trading. The index volumes were noticeably down with foreign institutions being heaviest sellers today.
TASI gained marginally on Tuesday. The index rose by 0.17% for the first time in four sessions, supported by gains over retail sector in addition to healthcare and telecommunications sectors.
UAE indices closed in a different manner today; DFMGI went down by 0.65%, as Emaar Properties (DFM: EMAAR) tumbled 5.79% due to the end of the share dividends declaration period, which weighed on the index in return. ADSMI surged 0.31% on Tuesday; the index continued to perform better than its neighboring DFMG with trade volumes going up.
Qatari index restored the 9,250 level today, gaining 0.47%. The index spent nearly eight sessions hanging around such a level, in which a breakout will be significant. Kuwaiti stocks have had a flat closing for the second straight session, gaining only 5 points today (0.08%).
